Michael Wyckoff: Composer for visual media
Michael Wyckoff is a Los Angeles based composer, producer, and pianist. He composed the complete soundtrack for the Virtual Reality Game "Hover Junkers", which was released on the HTC Vive in April of 2016, as well as the soundtrack for "Duck Season", which was released on the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift in September 2017 and was one of the highest selling VR games of all time. He co-produced Exo's "Diamond" on the album "The War" with Harvey Mason Jr., which sold over 1,000,000 physical copies in less than a month, and broke the record for most pre-orders on an album for any Korean artist. Also with Mason Jr. he co-produced “Butterflies” by Red Velvet, Vroom Vroom by EXO-CBX, and Hands on Me which premiered on Season 2 of Produce 101. Wyckoff also produced “New Icons” by Ten and “Honest” by Key with Jon Asher. He also worked on Pitch Perfect 3, contributing to the soundtrack as well as programming Anna Kendrick's on screen Launchpad performance. He has also had his music licensed in feature films such as Mom's Night Out and commercials for AMG-Mercedes. He also scored the movie “Chokehold”. He partnered on a campaign with Toyota, and has also scored many viral projects which have been viewed by millions, namely those created by the Stress Level Zero team on the channels RocketJump/BrandonjLa.
His electronic music project, R!OT, has over 300,000 YouTube subscribers and focuses on virtuosic live performances, which have been viewed over 80 million times. He has official remixes on major labels Sony and Universal for various artists including Daya and Aaron Carter, which have been featured in the New York Times, Spotify's Viral Charts and various campaigns for Best Buy and Target.
Wyckoff is also an accomplished pianist and teacher. He has performed at various competitions across California, played headlining slots with Singer/Songwriter Christina Grimmie, and taught piano privately before teaching composition at Icon Collective in Burbank.
